This is dirtiestroom.com. We collect messy rooms and ask the important question: which is the worst? No account. No glamorous houses. Just a pile of socks and your honest feelings.
The three feelings
👎 Like down = 1 point. 🤢 Grose = 2 points. 🤮 Throw up = 3 points. More points means a worse room. One reaction per room per browser; choosing again changes it.
All time worst sorts by all points. Trending counts votes first cast in the last seven days. Changing an old vote does not make it new. Newcomers shows the newest approved submissions.
The room rules
Upload your own photo with permission. Show only a domestic room. No people, private documents, addresses, nudity, abuse, violence, weapons, drugs or illegal content. We judge the mess, never the people. Use the report form on a room if something should be removed.
Photos stay private while automated checks run. Uncertain or unavailable checks do not publish a photo. Automated checks can make mistakes; they do not prove that a photo is legal.
Privacy, in human words
Your room title, approved photo, submission date and vote totals are public. Use a nickname. We remove image metadata and do not publish your original file. Sanitized images and names are sent to configured safety providers, including OpenAI, for screening.
A necessary protected cookie remembers your anonymous voting identity for up to one year. The database stores a hash of that identity, not your name. Clearing cookies can reset it. We also use Google Analytics, our visit counter, which sets its own cookies to count visits and see which pages people like; it is never loaded on secret tracking pages. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting; the application does not store them with votes. Hosting infrastructure may keep its own logs.
The secret tracking link shows your submission status and vote metrics. Only its hash is stored in the database. Keep the link private. There is no account recovery. Rejected image files are deleted; the submission status remains. Pending uploads remain private for operator review when retries are exhausted.
